Next stop: EXPO FERROVIARIA 2023

IDS Ingegneria Dei Sistemi and IsselNord, together with DITECFER – District for Rail Technologies, High Speed, Networks’ Safety and Security Consortium, will attend EXPO Ferroviaria, to be held at Fiera Milano Rho, Milan (Italy) from 3rd to 5th October 2023.

At the 11th edition of EXPO Ferroviaria, IDS, partner in the STARS consortium with INTECS SpA, will present Sirio-LX, our radar-based automatic system, designed to prevent trains from colliding with obstacles on the track at level crossings. Sirio-LX uses a short range high resolution radar to detect objects that enter the area before or while the gates are closing and provides a warning to approaching trains using the existing signaling system. Operational in all weather conditions, including fog, rain and snow; Sirio-LX provides good vehicle detection (both of stationary or moving vehicles). With a very high Mean Time Between Failures – MTBF, it has been designed to ensure the highest level of safety standards (SIL4, CENELEC 50129).
