SISTER project: IDS is on the right track!

With great pleasure we announce that IDS is taking part at the SIgnaling & Sensing TEchnologies in Railway – SISTER project, a research project funded by Regione Toscana, whose main objective is the definition of a proper solution to provide an efficient and safe transit system, in a society where a public transportation system, efficient and sustainable, is of paramount importance.

IDS participates in the SISTER project for the design and development of a remote sensing radar system for the detection of obstacles along the tram-train line.

The radar system can be installed near critical areas of the railway or tramway line to detect the presence of obstacles that could represent a danger for vehicles approaching these areas.
